:: Will dream ever become a reality? ::

Thank God for the 2 concerts i went 2 weeks ago... i'd haf regret if i didnt go...both concerts brought back lots of wonderful memories for me...

1) Thur 7.30pm@VCH SYF Choral Festival II

I've been looking 4ward to this concert 4 a very long time.still remember the last time a.mee2 and i went 4 the SYF Finals and we really enjoy ourselves!tt year TKGS and ACJC won the best choir of the year and when I was 1 of the performers..sigh...ok..back to the 1 this yr..

This year's theme was 'Wings to soar'.All the Choral excellence choirs combine and form the various chorus, presenting different songs ranging from negro sprituals(eg Rockin' Jerusalem),Chinese songs like 'Ye Lai Xiang',even war songs like 'The British Grenadiers' to love songs 'Someone to watch over me'.With renowned conductors like Mr Fred Sjoberg(Guest conductor from Sweden),Jennifer Tham(SYC conductor),Nelson Kwei,Mary Tan and Lim Ai Hooi,how can the concert not be fantistic?

My favourite song got to be 'All my trials' and 'Someone to watch over me'...hopefully i can get these 2 songs's scores.While watching the concert(alone!),i suddenly haf the urge to join a choir,to give my all to sing again..

2) Fri 7.30om@ACS(Barker) A Cappella Fest 04

Another concert i've been looking out for ever since i competed in 'The Harmony Award- A Capella competition' a local version of the Grammy's in Sec2(as 1 of the 2 youngest competitor). I tell u,this concert is worth every cent.

Total of 10 a cappella grps show case their talents and if any1 ask me which r my fav grp,its gotta be the all guy grp ' In-A-Chord', 'akatones' and the full time mix grp 'Notations'.Can u imagine, In-A-Chord has been singing as a grp since 1987?!so u can imagine some of them r old enuf to be our dads...LOL..they sang songs like Jay Chou's 'Long juan feng'.'Breakfast at Tiffany's' etc. The guys r simply great singers,being percussionists, sounding like guitars,trombone saxaphone etc by simply using their voices!I'm impressed!

It was a very entertaining 3hrs concert ad i look forward to Harmony Awards 2004 and Notations very own concert on 23/10 or 11.

I admire their courage and guts to form a grp and sing.Forming my own a capella grp has always been my dream...i wonder whether i'll haf the guts to do it.....
