    Small note: Pastor mentioned in his Easter message, “If each one take care of our hearts, the church is alive. Similarly, if each one in Shomerim, takes care and do their daily devotion, then Shomerim will stay alive. May we not be the first to resurrect at the 2 nd coming of the Lord! =p (if u remember the joke Pastor mentioned).

    :: interpreting the interpretation ::

    many people came and offer me encouragement. thanks! they all said, "it's a good try for a first time!" =) they are all so kind, no wonder they are Christians =). but still, thanks for the encouragement.

    but i know, i haven't done a good job. at least, i believe i could have done more on my part. meaning, i dun think i did my part. preparation, yes.. is lacking.

    and i have been reminded that service is never supposed to substitude devotion. may the Lord help me, that thru and due this, i can have better and more quality devotion. may this be God's leading for me..
    --------------

    okie, enough of lamentation and +/- vity. let's share about my experience beside pastor today.

    when i stepped up, i stood beside pastor. pastor spoke and i listened, ... and i was waiting for the next sentence and the next sentence. => i forgot that i am supposed to interpret! okie,. so, start to interpret. then i realise that the chinese congregation wasn't around. so who am i interpreting for? nvm.. they arrived shortly..

    pastor refer us to a scripture. and i got a shocked. i wasn't told/i didn't find out that we are going to read a scripture. so... calming my every nerve and activating my brain cell, i calm says 诗篇第五十三首... then pastor says reading it together.. erm. i was wondering what is he trying to say? and some more he says that chinese and english read together.. ??! huh? but i read together with him, simultaneously! it's bad.! argh.. nvn..

    come to the hymn. erm.. i have bookmarked 2 pages.. but erm.. i missed the 1st bookmark. so in the end giving the wrong reference for the hymn. have to correct it in the middle of the hymn.

    the easiest part, holy communion. just read from passage.. blah blah.. thank God for this part. if not..haha.. dun know what is going to happen

    then prayer!!!! argh.. nervous. and i tried.. “让我们低头祷告。。。”

    blah blah.. until this part, after interpreting, i have an additional 因为!the fact is, there's no need for this 因为. so, in order to finish the sentence, said my own prayer. 画蛇添足!

    then i was stumbled at some words, after interpreting, i am still thinkin bout the mistake i made, and in the end, cannot catch wat pastor was saying next.

    and pastor knows my state of nervous and helplessness... so, he ended the prayer.. abruptly.

    but i know, bad interpretation can actually be worse. thank God for not allowing His holy communion to end in a devasting state.
    ---------------------

    that's my sharing... just sharing to let you all know. and to make me remember. that i will improve.. if there's a next time. (i think there is =).. dun have to give me much comments, so i dun want to think too much and interpret your comments.

    p/s: interpret = 1. To conceive the significance of; 2. translate orally.
