:: Please strike off......... ::

Like to share a story with all of u which i've heard on radio from the programme {Music Diary},a programme i like very much.

It took place in an american university.The lecturer ask a lady to go to the blackboard and write out the names of ten most impt ppl in het life.She wrote names of her parents,husband,son,friends,neighbours etc.After finish writing out the names,the lecturer say,'Please strike off a name that means the least to you.'and so the lady strike off her neighbours name without any hesitation.Then came the lecturer's voice again.'Please strike off another name.'and she strike off yet another name.this went on for awhile until the blackboard is left with her parents,husband and son's name.

At this point of time,the whole lecture theatre was absolutely silent.Nobody dare even whisper.everyone was hoping that wld be the end of it all but the lecturer's spoke again,somewhat more serious,'Please strike off another name.'It took the lady a very long time before she strike off the next name,which is her parents name.'Please strike off another name.'at this moment everyone held their breathe.Everyone was thinking,'Who will she choose?her son or her husband?who would mean more to her?'

It seems like a forever before the lady make her decision.with shaking hands,she strike off her son's name.Then she burst into tears.when she's more composed,the lecturer ask the burning question,'Parents are the ones who brought u up and your son is your own flesh and blood.If u lose ur husband,u can always marry another.so why is he the most impt in ur life?'with sobs in between,she answered,'my parents will go before me.when my son grows up,he'll get married and lead his own life.only my husband wld stay with me,be by my side and grow old with me.'

What about us?who's name wld we strike off and who's name wld we never strike off when we play this game?In the 1st place,wld God's name be among the 10 most impt ppl in our life?Think about it.as we live our life,busy chasing after our goals and dreams,haf we neglected some ppl(including God)around us who cares alot for us?Who are the ppl who is actually impt to us as we meet so many ppl everyday?
