:: Ubin Camp 2004... ::

Hi Shomerimers,

Had you been to Ubin? To some guys, you may have been to Tekong, or even
thailand's jungles.

I remembered as I set foot on the island of Ubin, I felt abit of Kumpong
culture. Indeed, it is a kumpong area. But that time, I spent about 5 long
painstakingly hours to reach the Noordin beach by means of canoe. We settled
down, and pitch our tents. In the night, the tent collasped with the
accompilment from the sky - Mosquitoes.

We cooked our own "rotten" instant noodle, and opened canned-foods. We
learned to survive, and also to do things in a smart way under a limited
envoirment. Although, things were not that well organized and "cooked", we
enjoyed the fellowship together.

Ubin is a nice place. It is infested with moquitoes, flies, ants, etc.. I
once encountered a snake beside my tent. Surprisingly, it was a small snake.
As the snake approached nearer towards us, my friend took a knife from his
back(not fruit knife) and kill it. Are you afraid? ^_^

Greetings in our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ's name. Probably after you
have read this E-mail, you will be encouraged and not discouraged. We
learned many lessons including how to survive under the hot sun and limited
resources, to be alert at all times, to have fun and Joy, to built up
abilities in living under different blood and bond.

I'm planning to have a Ubin camp at the Noordin Beach, 21 - 22 May 2004. To
those who likes to fish, bring along your fishing rods. Probably you are
able to fish a mermaid. Right Clement? :-) It will be a fun time together.
We will reach there in the morning, to pitch our tents and settle down for
some games, message, and song leading session. What more? We will be cycling
around Ubin, and will evangelise to those people living there. What further
more? We will be having BBQ and Supper in the late night, and will sing till
our voice goes hoarse. So now discouraged or encouraged? ^_^
